Embrace Northeast Georgia’s Charm And Flavor
Check-in
Book a log cabin on AirBnb. This truly personalizes your stay in the northeast Georgia mountains. Most of these rentals are priced reasonably and located right near trails and shops.
Morning
Due to the history and views, I recommend visiting Tallulah Falls and Gorge. This is a popular destination and for good reason. The earlier you go, the better. I recommend the Tallulah Gorge and North and South Rim Trail for an easy hike with beautiful views. If you want a harder challenge, hike the Hurricane Falls Trail. You get up close and personal with the waterfall, at the expense of having to travel up and down a plethora of stairs. For the history buffs, make sure to read about Karl Wallenda in 1970.
Afternoon
If you are into art, I recommend visiting Mark of the Potter to view the pottery and feed the trout in the Soque River. If not, I suggest visiting historic downtown Clarkesville for the locally owned and operating shops and boutiques.
Evening
Wolf Creek BBQ is the best BBQ I have ever had in my life. Don’t let the outside structure fool you. Inside this small location packs some massive flavor. I recommend getting the BBQ grilled cheese or try taking on the massive colossal burger. Finally, relax at Pitts Park for a peaceful trail and playground, or (depending on the time you visit) catch a show at the Habersham Community Theater. These locals put on some of the best performances in northeast Georgia.
